Itinerary - FoodExplorers Puglia



DAY 1 ~ Welcome!

  • Arrive in the Apulian Airport  (Brindisi or Bari) transfer with a private driver to your first accommodation  in Matera.  

  • In the evening,  meet and greet with your group and our Tour Leader.

  • Welcome dinner at an authentic local restaurant.


DAY 2 ~ Matera 

  • Breakfast.

  • Explore Matera and the Sassi; stop at a local bakery  for a quick  delicious street food and  bread making demonstration with traditional stamps.

  • Dinner at a cave restaurant.


DAY 3 ~ Polignano a Mare and Alberobello

  • Breakfast. 

  • Check out from the hotel and onboard our private minibus/van.  

  • Today  we’ll visit Polignano a Mare, with its dramatic ands breathtakingly  limestone cliffs  and the yummiest  street seefood!   The fairy tale village of Alberobello will be our next stop.

  • Last destination of the day is our  exclusive accommodation in Valle d’Itria.

  • Dinner at the hotel  restaurant.


DAY 4 ~ Mozzarella Experience in  Masseria,  Ostuni and Winery Tour

  • Breakfast. 

  • Today  we’ll visit a traditional Apulian Masseria;  you'll become "casaro" for a day and taste all the offering  products. In the afternoon we'll have a relaxing walking tour in the White City , Ostuni. In the evening we'll visit another Masseria for a winery tour and dinner.

  • Dinner in Masseria.


DAY 5 ~ Lecce

  • Breakfast. 

  • Today  we’ll explore  the Apulian Baroque City , enjoy delicious sweet and salted  street foods around the historical center of Lecce. 

  • Cooking class and dinner in Lecce.


DAY 6 ~ Locorotondo and Cisternino

  • Breakfast. 

  • Today  we’ll visit Locorotondo  and Cisternino where you'll discover "bombette&gnummariedd" at the local butchers shops/restourants. 

  • Dinner in Masseria with Pizzica dance.


DAY 7 - Arrivederci!

  • Breakfast.

  • Check-out the hotel and transfer back to the airport for your flight.
